WAFFLES!

yummy waffles!
Guitar enjoying brownie/cookie samples at HEB while me and chat shop for waffles ingredients!
Since we hadn't eaten anything yet, we made cheesy waffles with chicken tenders to start off the day!
Chat in her cute apron she brought over "I don't want to get paulina's shirt dirty!" although.. the apron didn't cover most of it!
 toasted shredded coconut!
the waffle recipe we used contains yeast to make it nice and airy and crispy on the outside and dense on the inside
lukewarm milk to wake the yeast babies up!
macerating strawberries! chat was confused when I said macerate lol
chat taking a break to drink some sweet tea from sonic happy hour
panda was being lazy all day
we went to choo choo for sushi while waiting for the batter to rise
I made another chicken and cheesy waffle for papa
 it doubled in size!
 perfect waffles!

this one had nutella, strawberries, bananas, and cookies and cream icecream!

this one had condensed milk, bananas, shredded coconut, and buttered pecan icecream!

so yum! we had a blast making these! :)

Coconut heaven homemade Macaroons!

I followed the recipe on joy of baking
Ingredients!

The recipe required beating egg whites, sugar, and salt over a double boiler, which is just heating it up in a heat proof bowl over simmering water

The product is smooth and creamy

doesn't really look appetizing yet huh? lol

used an icecream scooper to make even rounds
Well I baked it for the amount of time the recipe called for, but it didn't have that classic golden gleam which true macaroons need! so I but it under a broiler and gave it a little tan :)

Making Sushi @ home

Simple imitation crab roll just for Guitar, since he won't eat anything else!

Tempura shrimp & we even tried frying up the imitation crab meat, yummy!

Sushi rice (sorry the pic came out weird, don't know why it's been doing that)

Success!

Snickerdoodle Cookies : Pillsbury

So, I really wanted to try to make these from scratch, but two tests in one week did not permit such  a freedom. Instead, I found this....
Boxed Snickerdoodle Cookie Mix? I didn't know it existed! Hooray! Fairly simple to make, all I needed was the box, 1 stick of room temp butter, and 1 egg. Simple enough.
First, cream the butter and egg together
(don't forget to preheat oven at 375 degrees!)
Then, slowly add the packaged dry cookie dough mix
Mix well till it forms somewhat of a dough ball....
 Much like this :)
Then, use a tablespoon to scoop the dough and use your hands to form them into ball shapes...
Well, mine looks like the walnuts from PVZ (not perfect) anyhow, swirl them around in the cinnamon/sugar mix, provided
And place on cookie sheet 2 in apart
Bake for 10 mins

And there you go, easy snicker doodle cookies when you're trying to convince your bf to let you take pics of him modeling clothes on :) if you haven't seen that visit my other blog here !
They were super swt! Im gonna try to make them from scratch and less SWEEEEET!
